Student Activities

Walden Academy's extracurricular activities allow students to make new friends, develop new skills, enrich their educations, and have some fun along the way.

Middle School Program:
Our middle school offers many of the same things that large middle schools offer! One of the main differences is that your child won’t get lost in the shuffle of a larger school.  Our teachers and the entire school staff know each of our middle school students.  We have individually tailored "learning plans" that go home weekly with each child so families know exactly how their child is doing.  There are two homework clubs where students can stay after school and receive academic help and a quiet time to study if they wish.  So far this year, we've had a dynamite sports program where we've participated in a league to play flag football, basketball, volleyball, and cross country with other small schools like Walden.  Students rotate classes and have 2 different teachers.  We have a snack bar and lockers just for middle school students. Here are some of the electives students participated in this year:  photography, Spanish, newspaper, and now they are publishing the school yearbook!

If you would like your child to have an academic challenging, memorable middle school year, please contact us.
